The Fog of War

N.C. Wyeth Civil War art. Not about the 13th, per se, just a good piece of illustrative work without the sentiment of most modern ACW stuff. Yet stirring, obviously. And who says it couldn’t be about the 13th?

  1. Wonderful piece. I bet I can find a poem in that painting.

Hey, I’ve an idea. Have a tidbit about the 13th that is poem worthy? Think about it. Let me know and I’ll put my pen to paper. Sound good?

    I hope all is well.

Let’s see. On the poetical theory (I believe it is) that the world could be summed up in a raindrop, try this little mishap. A portent if there ever was one.

“…his foot slipped and he fell under the cars.”

That’s a great piece. I keep telling myself that one day I’ll commission a copy of this one.
